As of October 26, 2021, the votes have been counted by the Primary Senator. Consul of Economics Peter Herz has won his second term as Supreme Consul since the current Supreme Consul, Jack Herz, did not run for re-election. Primary Senator Theo Bafrali won his second term as Primary Senator, this time as a write-in candidate. However, he barely beat other write-in candidate Henry Herz. Senator Cole Gilbert did not run for re-election, and now the seat for Senator of New Brandenburg is open, like the seat for Senator of New Bavaria. Consul Peter Herz won 58% of the vote, a far cry from Supreme Consul Jack Herz's 75% in the 2020 election. The end of General Henry Herz's political career was well forecast, but convict Bobby Youstra seems to have gained much popularity, going from 8% of the vote in 2020 to 33% of the vote this year. Aaron Lipp won 8% of the vote. Voter turnout decreased since 2020, from 48% to 36%, however this is still an improvement from 2019's 27%.
Primary Senator Bafrali did not run as an official candidate this year, which nearly doomed his campaign. With a stunning 86% of the vote in 2020, it looked as though he would have a long career, however General Henry Herz gained 40% of the vote as a write-in candidate. The votes for Theo Bafrali and Henry Herz were tied, in fact, with 20% of the vote going to an unnamed Theo. The Grand Magistrate has ruled that since Theo Bafrali is the incumbent and the only Theo running as an official write-in candidate, that the write-in vote for Theo clearly meant him. However General Henry Herz may call for a special election between them to determine who won. Though Senator Cole Gilbert won 14% of the vote as a write-in candidate in 2020, that did not continue into this year and he got 0% of the vote.
As there were no candidates for Senator of New Bavaria, no one was elected. Jerry Price, Dean of Students at Chapman University got 100% of the votes as a write-in candidate. However, he is not a citizen and is not eligible for the position.
As there were no candidates for Senator of New Brandenburg, no one was elected. David Roxbourg, head of the Art History Department at Harvard University, won 100% of the votes as a write-in candidate. However, like Jerry Prince, he is not a citizen and is not eligible for the position. Voter turnout was at a record low for both New Bavaria and New Brandenburg with 25% and 11% respectively.
